What is DECA? DECA is a school club that is marketing and business based. Students go to compete in categories of business like Fashion & Merchandising and Sports & Entertainment Marketing. At the Competition, students are given a scenario for which they are given a specific role in a company. Next students do a roleplay where they give their advice and/or ideas on a specific scenario. Students get 10 minutes to plan new solutions, answer questions, and resolve problems. DECA is a great club to help those who are interested in the business and marketing fields
I have been in DECA for 3 years now, I started with just being a member to a VP of my department. In my department, I handle all promotions needed for meetings or events. I helped incorporate videos as a new way to interact with our members. Not only that I am in charge of the Lassiter DECA Website, which I have designed to match our branding.

Designed a business with two other teammates that offers a variety of flavors for cupcakes and cakes while accommodating for multiple allergies and diets. We got 9th place at DECA State.

Lassiter Print & Press
At Lassiter Print and Press, we design t-shirts for LHS students and staff. We had to come up with new branding for the business and new gear for the 2022-23 school year. All funding from the Print and Press goes towards DECA.
